My chosen medium consists mainly of Encaustic (a mix of beeswax and damar resin), collage and photographs as it offers a different way to express emotional tone.

Through the dynamic movement of the smooth or textured application of the wax, it alters the effect and ultimately the appearance of the art work. The look and feel of the wa along with the apparent luminosity is used to enhance the inherent characteristics of the topic or image. I take joy in the range of parameters that the wax offers. Restrictions are removed and I am free to translate my thoughts and emotions into my work by the unique array of tools at my disposal.

I believe that the core of the human experience is found in the joy of creation . Herein, I find my passion. A means of self-discovery and self-realisation is attained through my encaustic work.
