This series of works was directly inspired by and during the uncertain period of lockdown in South Africa. This time has been really difficult for everyone in a variety of ways and we all have our own challenges to face in terms of what comes next, what leave behind and what we choose to move forward with. Memory is a powerful tool used to process emotion, thoughts and ideas and we constantly need to assess to move forward and evolve.
The artist uses a vibrant minimal colour palette in combination with his signature style creating both bold and textured line work to explore the theme memory.
