– Cathlyn Massingham-Underwood –
Cathlyn was born in Pietermaritzburg and grew up in Kloof, Kwa-Zulu Natal. She moved to Cape Town to study in 2000 and after completing a year at Ruth Prowse School of Art changed over to study BA(FA) at UCT graduating with an Honours Degree 1st class Major in Printmaking.

Cathlyn enjoys working in a variety of mediums, as printmaker, painter and pastellist. She has volunteered seasons of her time to painting murals, the set-up of group exhibitions and events; now as a mom of two she is working as a Freelance Visual Artist both creating her own visions and taking on commissions.

Cathlyn’s current work is driven by newfound inspiration and a moving change in style and direction.
