Tasneem Profe is a self taught artist based in Cape Town, specializing in original watercolour paintings. She is inspired by people and the manner in which we convey our own stories in the nuances of our being, through our expressions, body language and the sheer intensity of our eyes.

The name “Fly the Coop” originates from her first ever exhibition in 2013 where it served as the title for her body of work. It is synonymous with taking a chance, and escaping ones comfort zone. As a self-taught artist, taking a chance on herself, she hopes to inspire others to flee their own metaphoric coop in turn.
